Kleppe's Demokratene (Democrats) party election rally was held at Egertorget near the parliament in Oslo. As the cops stood by Kleppe was pelted with eggs and the Demokratene sound system destroyed. SOS Rasisme, a Zionist-funded rent-a-mob, led the "counter-demonstration" against the Demokratene event, but distanced themselves from involvement in the violence. The Norwegian political establishment, highly fearful of the appeal of Kleppe and others to increasing anti-immigrant sentiment in Norway, helped set the climate for violence. As Kleppe pointed out to the media, singer Lillebjörn Nilsen was awarded the Oslo city council's "culture prize" after childishly pouring beer over the patriot at another appearance. Such violence against political dissidents is still frequent in Europe, although the Front National has developed a professional security and legal arm which has firmly put down such activities in France. A British National Party change in tactics has also outflanked such violence in the UK.
